I found an easy way to dramatically increase traffic to any site. It works within two weeks. I have quadrupled my traffic with this trick.

Anyone interested? Or am I talking to myself?

I am in the middle of beta testing. I kind of got overwhelmed here. I was not expecting these results.

I assume you know the basics of Social marketing, is this correct?

No Gordon, Facebook and Twitter are not a part of my Social traffic strategy.

However I do have tools on my blog that automatically post my blog posts to both of them. I am not an active user of those two services.

This is not for everyone. However I wanted to gain readers and traffic to build a following to my blog before my book on Belize comes out. Social marketing was the way for me to do it.

It took some effort in the beginning but it is very simple now.

Well lets assume I know nothing...

All right, from the beginning it is. It is not as simple if you start from scratch. However if you have content that you are regularly using for a blog it is pretty easy. Dynamic original content is what will drive traffic.

So if you have good original content it is a mater of learning the system. For me there were three major tools that changed everything.

LinkedIn, Reddit and Google plus. Now Reddit was a personal choice. You can replace that with another social tool, but for me it worked.

However with Reddit you need to invest more time than with LinkedIn and Google plus. Use and other social network if you do not want to spend time learning on Reddit.

Now I know almost everyone hates Google. But it worked like magic and is an important part of bringing everything together.

Heed this warning and remember these next words well.

"Ignore Google Plus and Google search will ignore you." - Google CEO Larry Page.

You might not like him or Google but it will soon be very important if you want traffic.

So get a LinkedIn account and sign up for Google plus. Over the next few weeks I will be showing you what I did to dramatically increase my blog traffic.

I am going to the states in a few days for a few months of vacation but I will be back posting about this on Saturday or Sunday.

One of the most frustrating things about life in PRC is the control of the internet. Since Google fell out with the powers to be here it just doesn't function well and Google + is blocked along with Twitter, most popular blogging sites, Facebook and of course Youtube.

The latter I would think should be in every serious social media networkers toolkit, no?

There are of course very popular Chinese alternatives to all the above if the local market is your target audience. Linkedin is currently unblocked and available, thank goodness. It is a great tool for developing business for sure.

Eric, we plan to start spending more time in Europe from next year, maybe Malta. But, there is still a lot going on in Shanghai so we won't be leaving just yet.

I know about the 'free trade zone' it's in the middle of nowhere and it'd take more than facebook to get me to move there!

Ah, I understand. I had no idea were the trade zone was.

It does not matter anyway. Based on what I am learning with this I can outsource and automate the whole thing after I get this beta testing done.

I am going to do a test in a week or so and see if I can drive traffic here.

I am actually looking into Asia now. South Korea is looking very nice. So are other places in Asia.

I was considering Shanghai but I do not like the Great firewall.
